Launch is imminent — we're looking for Android families to test StoryTap and share feedback.
Join early access →From book page to tap-to-hear page
In the app, scan a page from a book you own. Your child taps to hear friendly names on pictures, full lines read aloud, and a simple find-it game.
Drag the slider — left is your photo, right is the tap-to-hear page we build.

Friendly audio on pictures, items, and printed text — in your chosen language.
Hear names, listen to lines, replay offline — no marking homework for kids.

Where families use it
Hands-free listening while you drive.
No Wi-Fi needed once pages are saved in the app.
Wait time becomes story time.
Tap pictures and text, hear them named — calm and familiar.
Their book, not another random video.
The fine print, in plain English
Not today, not after launch, not after a funding round.
No name, no face, no behaviour tracking.
Your books and scans stay private. Nothing gets indexed or shared.
No reading pens, no proprietary editions.
I built StoryTap after a six-hour flight that went sideways at hour two. We packed three of her favourite picture books. By hour three, she was asking for the phone.
Reading pens, AR titles, audio editions — they only work with their own books. The ones we owned at home stayed regular books, even when the screen was the only thing keeping the row quiet. So I built a tool that lets kids tap our actual books on screen — hear pictures, items, and text — multilingual and offline.

Questions parents ask first
Sign up below with your email and confirm you have an Android device. We'll email Google Play closed-test instructions. Optional feedback helps us polish the app before launch.
Once a page is scanned in the app, no. Tap, listen, and play in airplane mode on the plane, in the car, anywhere.
Pick a language when you scan a page in the app — English, Slovak, Czech, German, or other. Founding Families get translation mode and future languages at no extra cost.
We use your email for early access and Android test invites only. Scanned pages stay on your device. Full detail on the privacy page.
Only the phone. The whole page lives on the device — your child taps pictures, items, and text on screen to hear them. The physical book can stay on the shelf.
